Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Sathi website at getsathi.comand related services (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Sathi is a platform that connects travelers with verified local tour guides, trusted drivers, and restaurants in Nepal. We act as an intermediary platform and do not directly provide guide, driver, or restaurant services.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You may register using third-party authentication providers (Google, Facebook) or email.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews or content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or service providers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Service
• Circumvent any security features or access restrictions

Guides, drivers, and restaurants listed on Sathi are independent service providers. Sathi:

• Verifies provider credentials through our trust and safety process
• Does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any provider’s services
• Is not a party to any agreement between you and a service provider
• Is not liable for any disputes, injuries, or losses arising from interactions with providers

• Bookings are subject to the service provider’s availability and confirmation.
• Pricing is set by the service provider. Sathi may display community-validated price ranges.
• Payment terms, cancellation, and refund policies are agreed between you and the service provider.
• Sathi may charge a platform fee, which will be disclosed before any transaction.

• You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, photos, messages).
• By posting content, you grant Sathi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.
• You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable at our discretion.

The Service, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Sathi and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sathi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sathi in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sathi and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

• You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation first, then through the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
