Cozy Tibetan restaurant near Boudhanath Stupa, run by a Tibetan refugee family. The thukpa (noodle soup), tingmo (steamed bread), and yak cheese dishes are outstanding. The warm, colorful interior features Tibetan prayer flags and traditional art. A peaceful spot for lunch after visiting the stupa.

The Old House is magical. Sitting on the rooftop terrace overlooking the ancient palace square while eating incredible Newari food — this is why you travel. The chatamari (Newari pizza) was the highlight of our Nepal food experience.
Best momos I had in three weeks in Nepal, and I tried them everywhere. The jhol momos are absolutely addictive. Very cheap, very fast, very delicious. Go early!
Watching the sunset over Phewa Lake from Lakeside Terrace was one of the most beautiful dining experiences of my life. The wood-fired pizza was surprisingly authentic for Nepal!
