Our Story
Our family has Tibetan roots and has been living near Boudhanath Stupa for two generations. We serve traditional Tibetan-influenced dishes — momos handmade from scratch, thukpa, and butter tea — just as my mother made them. After dinner, we often share stories of our Buddhist traditions and the history of the great stupa. Guests are welcome to join our evening prayer if they wish.

An unforgettable experience. Sarita's Newari feast was the best meal we had in all of Nepal. The love and care in every dish was palpable. We felt like part of the family.
Verified BookingThe momos at the Tamang family were incredible — the best I've ever had. Pasang told us stories about Boudhanath that brought the stupa to life. Magical evening.
Verified BookingKamala's Thakali dal bhat set was a revelation. Six different accompaniments, each more flavorful than the last. The brass plates added to the authentic feeling.
